Our story

Elsie’s Table, a family-owned restaurant in Canton, Massachusetts, was inspired by my grandmother, Elsie, whose kitchen table was a true gathering place filled with love, comfort, and connection. Her home was more than just a place to eat - it was where family, friends, and neighbors came together to share stories, laughter, and unforgettable meals.

Today, Elsie’s Table brings that same spirit to life as one of the best restaurants in Canton, MA for brunch, dinner, craft cocktails, and special events. Our mission is to create a warm, welcoming dining experience where every guest feels at home. We combine fresh, locally sourced ingredients with globally inspired cuisine to deliver elevated comfort food that celebrates both tradition and innovation. Family and history are at the heart of everything we do. A defining feature of our restaurant is our custom bar, handcrafted from original church pews from St. Agatha’s Church in Milton, Massachusetts. In the 1970s, during a renovation, my mother - one of Elsie’s eight children - rescued these pews and preserved them in our family home in Canton for decades. In 2023, during the renovation of Elsie’s Table, those same pews were transformed into our bar and interior finishes, blending local history, craftsmanship, and personal legacy into the design of our restaurant.

We continue to celebrate family through our signature Local Family Recipe Program, a unique dining experience where guests submit their cherished family recipes. Our culinary team recreates these dishes with authenticity and care, featuring them as a “Family Recipe of the Month.” It’s a meaningful way for families in Canton and across Norfolk County to gather, reconnect, and share a taste of home. Beyond our daily dinner service and weekend brunch service, Elsie’s Table is also known for hosting some of the most unique dining experiences and events in Canton, MA. From curated wine pairing dinners featuring premium wines and multi-course menus, to our lively Sing-Along Brunches, we create memorable moments that bring the community together.
